Koen Princen is a versatile artist whose creativity evolves alongside advancements in digital technology. Starting with stencil painting—designing digitally and using spray paint—he has since expanded into 3D printing, laser cutting, and artificial intelligence. Koen’s journey began with a passion for drawing and crafting, which led him to study psychology, focusing on creative therapy as a response to conventional diagnoses and treatment. Inspired by chaos, shamanism, comics, and pop surrealism, his work balances opposing forces like light and dark, fantasy and reality, horror and comedy. At GRONDSLAG, he will present laser engravings, stamps, and prints, reflecting his innovative blend of traditional and modern techniques. While many fear new technologies, Koen embraces them, making the world a little more beautiful in the process.
